On May 22, 2012, the Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution #2012-345 approving funding to the City under the County’s CDBG program for infrastructure improvements for a Solar Street Lighting Project in the amount of $145,679.

Description of Action |
CDBG funds provided by the County under this agreement shall be used by the City for the purchase and installation of a minimum of 15 solar powered street lighting poles with fixtures in CDBG eligible areas that are in need of additional street and safety lighting. The City has approved decorative style poles which cost approximately $7,000 - $9,500 per installed unit. Per the agreement with the County, the City shall install these within Census Tract 804.02 Block Group 1 and Census Tract 805. To move forward with CDBG funding for the Solar Street Lighting Project, the City Commission needs to take the following action:
